About Hidroespaço Dive School and Dive Centre
Hidroespaço Dive School and Dive Centre, based in Faro, was founded in December 1995 and offers a range of diving experiences for divers of all levels. They have a team of instructors, dive guides and employees in different areas with one common passion: the underwater world.
Hidroespaço have a wide variety of dive sites suitable for all certifications and they can also take you diving in the Ria Formosa to observe seahorses - one of the biggest communities of them in the world!

Diving Courses - Hidroespaço instructors embrace the PADI system in teaching Open Water Certification, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Dive Master, and numerous speciality courses. In Technical Dive, they follow TDI standards and teach Basic Nitrox, Advanced Nitrox, Introduction to Tec, and so on.
Daily dive trips - along the Faro coast to shipwrecks, natural and artificial reefs, an archaeological tour and also in the Ria Formosa to observe the seahorses (one of the biggest community of seahorses in the world!). Hidroespaço have dive sites for all certification levels.
Diving experiences - to introduce non divers to the underwater world in a simple but supervised way. Under the supervision of a dive professional, you can learn the basic concepts of security and equipment, and will be able to calmly swim in a controlled environment. With this experience, Hidroespaço want to raise curiosity and encourage the evolution in scuba diving.
Diving holidays to other destinations - Sagres, Açores, Tarifa, Cabo de Palos, Cabo Verde, Mar Vermelho, and more to be announced.
Organization and support for initiatives related to diving - such as underwater cleanups, workshops, lectures and so on

Partners:
GEBA aims to motivate divers to take a more active role in their immersions at the same time contributing to the understanding and preservation of our marine environment. This is a part of the SubMed Project, whose main objective is to promote underwater tourism in the Algarve and the Mediterranean to "make the business sustainable economically and environmentally."
EcoSub is a new project that aims to promote diving as sustainable tourism in the Algarve by enhancing underwater routes such as those that already exist on land,. It is a doctoral thesis from Algarve University
Project Seahorse is an interdisciplinary and international organization committed to conservation and sustainable use of the world’s coastal marine ecosystems.
